Course Description
This one and one-half day intensive spinal injection workshop includes lectures and hands-on spinal injection training using anatomical models and cadavers. State of the art equipment, including C-arms, operating tables, spinal needles, will be utilized.

Course Objectives

  • Lumbar spine anatomy and pathology
  • Introduction to a wide spectrum of interventional lumbar spine procedures and focus on technique
  • Fluoroscopic images of interventional spine procedures
  • Indications, risk factors and complications of interventional spine procedures
  • Insurance approval, coding, billing, and collection issues

  • Cervical & Thoracic Injections
  • Lumbar Facet Joint Injection
  • Lumbar Medial Branch Block
  • Lumbar Selective Nerve Root Block
  • Interlaminar Lumbar Epidural Injection
  • Caudal Epidural Injection
  • Discogram
  • Nucleoplasty

Course Registration and Fees
Early registration course fee is $1,950.00. Fee will include the one and one-half day meeting, handout booklet, breakfasts, and lunches.

Course Level
This course is for physicians of all skill levels and knowledge of spinal injection procedures. Instructors will consider this and teach each participant accordingly. No prerequisite criteria are required when registering for this course.

CME Credits
The Stanford University School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education. This course has been designated 12 credit hours in Category 1 of Physician’s Recognition Award of the American Medical Association.
