IDET catheter inserted into disc

Heat applied to problem area

Introducing IDET - Intradiscal ElectroThermal Therapy a new option in the treatment of low back pain associated with contained herniated discs. SpineCATH® is a navigable, intradiscal electrothermal catheter that is placed within a symptomatic disc under fluoroscopic guidance and local anesthesia. Thermal energy (heat) is then conducted into the annular wall during a seventeen minute protocol. Temperature levels are targeted that have been shown to initiate contraction and thickening in the collagenous structure and coagulation in the neurovascular tissues.

Features of the SpineCATH Intradiscal ElectroThermal Catheter:

  • Introduced through a low-profile, 17 guage needle
  • Unique navigation tip allows axial control and guidance during placement
  • Provides unmatched access to the posterior annulus
  • 5cm thermally active tip with radiopaque markers
  • Disposable, single use only
